This month, we’re spotlighting an amazing Adapted Physical Education Teacher, Lissa M.</p><p>Here’s why Lissa decided to become an APE teacher, what she enjoys most about working with the Cross Country Education team and schools, and what advice she has for adapted PE teachers just embarking on their careers.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><h3>Why did you become an <strong>APE teacher</strong>?</h3><p>I became an adapted PE teacher because I love working with kids and am very active myself, therefore I wanted to be able to merge the two in a fun, fulfilling way. I take so much joy in teaching students motor skills while increasing their confidence and seeing them progress, thrive and have fun doing it!</p><h3>What do you like about Cross Country Education?</h3><p>I love the communication, positivity, and supportive environment that Cross Country Education provides. This company not only cares about its clients but also about its employees, which makes a huge difference. As an employee, I feel seen, heard, and appreciated. We also have great leadership and unity within our teams, which in turn, flows out to the staff and students we work with.&nbsp;</p><h3>What have you liked about your experience working at CCE schools?</h3><p>All the schools I have worked at have treated me as part of the staff, from awesome merch to taking part in holiday feasts! They communicate well, provide appropriate resources, and value all the SpEd providers.</p><h3>What kind of advice would you give to someone starting out in your field?</h3><p>I would say for one to stay organized with dates, meetings, lesson plans, session notes, etc. Once you have that down, you'll be golden.
