 the facility needs to make decisions related to staffing and projected needs
 in the future. Keep in mind the entire reason the facility extended an offer
 to you is to ensure proper staffing levels to meet the needs of patients.



 In the state of Florida, we know that our census will peak in the winter
 months because we will have many tourist and &ldquo;snowbirds&rdquo; coming to
 the state. However, come spring many will return home for the season. It is in
 situations like this we plan to utilize additional staff to meet the needs of
 anticipated census.



 However, because it is only an educated guess, sometimes we don&rsquo;t
 maintain census at the level we thought it would be. Then decisions need to be
 made for staffing reductions.



 When these things happen, several options exist for the facility. One is to
 float you to another unit that has a higher demand and a need for your
 services. This allows you to stay in the same location and still work at this
 site.



 Another option is to look at sister facilities to see what needs are open that
 you could fill. This, again, allows you to stay in the area to finish
 the assignment.



 The final option is to look at relocating you to another assignment in the
 area or at a different location. We will do our best to work with you and the
 facility to work out the best option for both of you.



 Low census is a rare occurrence in the travel nurse world. Keep in mind they
 have invested a lot of time and money in you to come to this location and the
 facility wants to ensure it is a good experience for both you and them.
