Job Summary:
The Charlotte, North Carolina, based Radiology Technologist position offers an opportunity to work in a high-acuity, teaching healthcare facility. This role involves performing general X-ray procedures, including trauma imaging, in a fast-paced environment with high patient volume. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day and must have at least two years of acute care experience, including trauma facility exposure.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour hours, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: BLS certification, ARRT-R registration, valid BLS certification, and meeting the following: two years of acute care experience, trauma facility experience, and EPIC Electronic Medical Record (EMR) proficiency.
- Preferred Qualifications: C-arm experience, O-arm experience, strong communication skills, teamwork attitude, and experience working in a teaching environment.
- Float: No, only to different areas of X-ray and for portables within this facility.
- Additional Information: The role involves rotating shift-by-shift within station areas including Emergency Department, Operating Room, and main radiology. The contract duration is 13 weeks, with travelers working consistent shifts as per the contract. Orientation includes a facility and departmental tour, with up to five days of departmental orientation.
- Support Available: Lead Tech, Supervisor, Manager, MD residents and fellows, other Radiology Technologists, 24/7 staffing support, Rapid Response/Code Team, on-site radiologists, and department transporter.
- Scheduling: No rotations between weekends and weekdays; workers stay on assigned days and shifts.
- Other Notes: Scrubs will be provided if assigned to the operating room; free parking is available across several parking decks; department has a collaborative culture emphasizing high clinical skills and teamwork.
