Job Summary:
Vascular Sonographer located in Waterloo, Iowa. This position involves performing ultrasound examinations in general, OB/GYN, and vascular specialties using EPIC (Electronic Medical Record) system. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The role includes call coverage Monday through Friday from 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM, with weekend call as needed.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Call coverage Monday-Friday from 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM. Weekend call coverage as needed from 6:30 PM to 6:00 AM. Minimum of 37.5 hours per week with a shift length of 7.5 hours.
  • Required Qualifications: Minimum of 24 months experience in ultrasound/sonography capacity; proficiency or experience in abdomen, non-high risk OB/GYN, and vascular imaging; ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) certification; active BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association or ARC (American Red Cross); Iowa driver’s license; EPIC EMR experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with liver vessel evaluation in RUQ, kidney and bladder, pelvis (transabdominal and transvaginal), 1st trimester OB, testicle/scrotum evaluation, DVT/venous evaluation of arms and legs, ABIs, thyroids, aortas, and carotids; limited 2nd/3rd trimester OBs (BPP, measurements, fluid checks); ARDMS (RVT and OB/GYN) highly preferred; professional references from within the past 24 months.
  • Additional Information: Candidates must be willing to work 1-2 of the upcoming summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day). Electronically submit skills checklist specific to sonography and vascular disciplines, along with a professional reference/check from a supervisor or director within 24 months.
