Job Summary:
The location is in Hilo, Hawaii. This is a vascular sonographer position requiring candidates to provide high-quality ultrasound imaging services across various specialties, including abdomen, gynecology, obstetrics, neonatal, superficial structures, and vascular procedures. Candidates must bring their license on the first day.
Job Details:
- Address: Hilo, Hawaii
- Required Qualifications: ARDMS (AB) — for Abdomen, OB, and RVT; active BLS certification by AHA; minimum 3 years' experience as a full-time sonographer in an acute hospital setting; at least one contract or longer experience; current license and certifications as specified.
- Shift: 12-hour shifts, 40 hours per week, with call as appropriate. Flexibility to float to other units or departments as needed.
- Additional Information: Candidates must arrive the Thursday before the start date to attend the employee health appointment scheduled for Friday. The start date is 08/10/2026, and punctuality is required.
- Position Skills: Competent to proficient in ultrasound procedures for abdomen, gynecology, obstetrics, neonatal, superficial structures, and vascular imaging. Experience includes aspirations, biopsies, drainage, intraoperative procedures, and vascular duplex scans.
- Equipment Used: Canon i700, Meditech Electronic Medical Records, Fuji Synapse Picture Archiving and Communication System.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in the specified roles, with full-time status as a sonographer.
- Schedule: 12-hour rotating shifts, 36 hours minimum per week, with on-call duties as required.
