Job Summary
Ultrasound Technologist General - for an organization in need of a skilled ultrasonographer to perform a variety of routine and advanced imaging procedures. The role involves supporting other imaging technologists, ensuring smooth patient flow, and maintaining equipment operations. Candidates must demonstrate flexibility in working various shifts and possibly at multiple campuses.
Job Details
- Schedule: Day shifts, 10 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited school of Ultrasound Technology or approved equivalent; 1 year of ultrasound scanning experience preferred; basic computer experience required; required certifications within 1 year of hire include one of the following: Sonography (S) by American Registry of Radiologic Technicians (ARRT), Abdomen (AB) by American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), Obstetrics & Gynecology (OB/GYN) by ARDMS. Preferred certifications include Vascular Sonography (VS) by ARRT, Breast Sonography (BS) by ARRT, Breast (BR) by ARDMS, Adult Echocardiography (AE) by ARDMS, Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) by ARDMS. State licensure is required if in New Mexico and Department of Medical Imaging and Radiologic Technology (DMS) by MIRTP and NMEDBLS certification are also required.
- Additional Information: The ultrasound technologist will perform examinations, troubleshoot equipment, ensure proper documentation in Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS), and participate in ongoing education and safety initiatives. Flexibility to work at different locations and shifts is essential.
