Job Summary: Boston, Massachusetts — Ultrasound Technologist, General (Ultrasonographer General). This role performs a wide range of Ultrasound procedures and supports patient care through patient interaction, chart review, image acquisition, and documentation. The Ultrasound Technologist assists physicians during sterile invasive procedures and completes appropriate disinfection of Ultrasound transducers. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights; Thursday–Sunday nights from 10:00 PM–7:00 AM (10 hours), with occasional coverage for one additional night during the week for vacation and holiday coverage.
- Required Qualifications: ARDMS (required); experience performing Ultrasound procedures; ability to review charts, select appropriate equipment and transducers for ordered tests, interview patients, obtain necessary information, explain procedures, and position patients appropriately; experience assisting physicians during sterile invasive procedures; ability to detect pathology and determine appropriate diagnostic images; experience recording images on PACS and providing images on film and paper when needed; ability to provide preliminary interpretation in a daily logbook and convey preliminary interpretation after discussion with the radiologist (when applicable); experience performing high level disinfection of Ultrasound intracavitary transducers using systems such as the Trophon EPR system; familiarity with patient protection and infection control practices; ability to perform Ultrasound functions outside the Ultrasound suite using portable equipment (including O.R., intensive care units, Emergency Department, and nursing floors).
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in transplants; experience in dopplers; experience in renal artery stenosis.

- Weekly orientation occurs every Monday, barring a holiday.
