Job Summary:
Ultrasonographer Echo position located at a high-volume hospital in an urban setting. This role involves performing diagnostic echocardiograms on adult and pediatric patients, ensuring technical proficiency and maintaining quality standards. The position requires coordination with hospital departments and adhering to departmental protocols to support accurate diagnosis and patient care.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 4 Days – 10 Hours (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM), minimum 40 hours per week, starting 10/19/2026 and ending 01/18/2027.
- Required Qualifications: Certification as an American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (A.R.D.M.S.) / Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) registered or registry eligible, or comparable national accreditation; State of New Mexico Echo Sonographer License; BLS certification issued through American Heart Association; high school diploma or equivalent; two years of echocardiogram experience preferred.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience performing echocardiograms; ability to communicate effectively; strong organizational skills; ability to work collaboratively; manual dexterity for imaging procedures.
- Additional Information: Performs technically proficient 2D, M-mode, and Doppler cardiac exams; coordinates exam scheduling, patient transportation, billing, and documentation; assists cardiologists during exams by preparing and measuring M-modes; responds to patient needs during procedures; orders supplies; maintains equipment quality control; participates in performance improvement activities; shares responsibility for on-call coverage for emergency echo exams; keeps current with field advances and seeks mentorship as needed; assists with other cardiac procedures as required.
