Job Summary:
Ultrasonographer (Echo) in a high-volume hospital setting. This full-time position involves performing diagnostic echocardiograms on adult and pediatric patients, with a focus on technical proficiency and patient care. The role requires effective coordination with hospital departments and adherence to departmental protocols to ensure quality and timely exam completion.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Dayshift, 10 hours per day, 4 days a week, with a start date of 10/19/2026 and end date of 01/18/2027.
  • Required Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; two-year allied health education program related to patient care; A.R.D.M.S./CCI registered, registry eligible, or comparable national accreditation; State of New Mexico Echo Sonographer License; BLS certification issued through American Heart Association; ability to communicate effectively; strong organizational skills; ability to work collaboratively across disciplines; manual dexterity for echocardiogram procedures; two years of actively performing echocardiograms preferred.

  • Additional Information: Performs technically proficient 2D, M-mode, and Doppler cardiac exams. Coordinates activities including scheduling, patient transport, and billing. Assists cardiologists during exams, prepares and measures M-modes, and manages exam documentation. Ensures equipment quality control and maintains a clean, stocked environment. Participates in performance improvement initiatives and shares responsibility for on-call emergency exams. Coordinates repair services and stays updated on advances in echocardiography. Assists with other cardiac procedures as needed.
