Job Summary:
Ultrasonographer Echo (Cardiology) in Santa Fe, New Mexico. This full-time position involves performing diagnostic echocardiograms on adult and pediatric patients. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The role requires technical proficiency, strong organizational skills, and effective communication.
Job Details:
- Location: Santa Fe, New Mexico
- Shift Schedule: Days, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM, 4 Days – 10 Hours per day, Minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Certifications include A.R.D.M.S./CCI registered or registry eligible or comparable national accreditation, State of New Mexico Echo Sonographer License, BLS certification issued through American Heart Association. Education required is a high school diploma or equivalent, along with a two-year allied health education program related to patient care.
- Preferred Qualifications: Two years of actively performing echocardiograms is preferred.
- Additional Information: This position is a backfill replacement for Kathryn Carlson, with one available position. Candidates should be prepared to participate in weekend emergency exams as needed.
- Responsibilities: Perform technically proficient 2D, M-mode, and Doppler cardiac exams; coordinate with hospital departments; assist cardiologists; prepare and measure M-modes; respond to patient needs during exams; maintain equipment and supplies; document patient records; participate in performance improvement activities; maintain on-call coverage for emergency exams; keep current with field advances; assist with cardiac procedures as needed.
