Job Summary:
Ultrasonographer Echo (Echo Tech) position available in an acute-care setting. This role involves performing diagnostic cardiac ultrasound examinations to support physicians in evaluating and diagnosing cardiovascular conditions. The technician is responsible for obtaining high-quality images, performing measurements, and communicating critical findings effectively.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 10 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited cardiac sonography, cardiovascular technology, or diagnostic medical sonography program. Current BLS certification. Active echocardiography credential through ARDMS (RDCS) or CCI (RCS) as required by the facility. Strong experience performing independent adult transthoracic echocardiograms. Proficiency with 2D, M-mode, color Doppler, spectral Doppler, and associated cardiac measurements.
- Preferred Qualifications: Recent acute-care hospital Echo Tech experience. Experience with both inpatient and outpatient echocardiography. Experience assisting with transesophageal echocardiograms. Stress echocardiography experience. Experience with contrast-enhanced echocardiography and agitated saline/bubble studies. Experience performing portable studies in ICU, emergency department, and other high-acuity settings. Familiarity with cardiac imaging and reporting systems.
- Additional Information: The ideal candidate is an experienced cardiac sonographer capable of independently performing diagnostic echocardiograms with minimal supervision. Must be comfortable working with a range of patient acuity levels and recognized significant cardiac abnormalities for escalated care.
