Job Summary:
A Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) specializing in inpatient care is needed in Corpus Christi, Texas. This role involves working at a medical center to provide speech therapy services to inpatients, including evaluations and treatment of swallowing and communication disorders. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details:
- Location: Corpus Christi, Texas
- Schedule: Day Shift, 8 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
- Certifications, Education, and Experience: Valid Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) license, BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, no minimum years of experience required
- Additional Information:
- Unit has 15 beds with 20 staff members
- Responsibilities include performing evaluations and treating patients with swallowing and speech disorders, including Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBS) for speech therapy
- Working in a team-oriented, energetic environment within an acute care hospital setting
- Typical equipment includes basic lift and therapy equipment
- EMR system used is Meditech
- Float: Float rotation may be required
- Dress Code: Navy Blue scrubs
- Unit policies and guidelines are available upon request
- At least 2 weekend days per month are required
