Job Summary:
Baltimore, Maryland – Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Inpatient. This position involves providing specialized speech therapy services to adult patients in an inpatient setting. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The role offers a 13-week contract with the potential for extension, working days with a schedule of 8 hours per shift, five days a week, including every third weekend.

Job Details:

  • Position: Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Inpatient
  • Shift Hours: 8 hours per day, days shift, 5x8 schedule
  • Minimum Hours Per Week: 40 hours

  • Contract Length: 13 weeks
  • Location: Baltimore, Maryland
  • Required Qualifications: Active BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; Maryland or Compact License; 0 years minimum experience required (preferably 3 years, but will consider 2 years with strong skillset); Flu Vaccine (no exemption required)
  • Preferred Experience: Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) care, Cerebrovascular Accident (CVA) care
  • Certifications: BLS required; CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) certification most units will require; Additional certifications as specified
  • Clinical Skills & Knowledge: Acute Care, Adult Rehabilitation Facility, Aphasia Language Performance Scale (ALPS), Augmentative and Alternative Communication Devices, Bedside Swallow Evaluations, Dysphagia, Fluency, Group Therapy, Modified Barium Swallow Studies, Sign Language, Traumatic Brain Injury, Voice, and others as listed
  • Additional Requirements: Must be comfortable floating within scope with no restrictions; compliance with vaccination schedules; onboarding labs within 72 hours of signing; compliance documents due 5 days prior to start; submission requirements considered low; auto acceptance on offer without interview; scheduling restrictions are not guaranteed; maximum of 7 days RTO requests allowed with additional week if more than 4 consecutive days; no float restrictions; candidate must accept the position as described.
