Job Summary:
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RT PEDS) — St. Louis, Missouri. The organization is seeking Registered Respiratory Therapists to provide direct patient care across respiratory therapy services, including ventilator support and treatment effectiveness evaluation, in accordance with physicians’ orders. Candidates must bring their license on the first day of employment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shift; 12-hour shifts; minimum 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) status with the National Board of Respiratory Care; current license in the State of Missouri; Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) (may obtain upon hire); Graduate from an accredited college program in Respiratory Care; ability to demonstrate critical thinking skills; ability to be flexible and adaptable
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree; prior Adult Intensive Care and Emergency Department care; Adult Critical Care Specialist (ACCS) certification from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- Additional Information: Performs direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory therapy according to physicians’ orders, determines the effectiveness of therapy, and provides ventilator support during cardiopulmonary resuscitation while maintaining life support equipment in intensive care units and other designated areas.
