Respiratory Therapist (Pediatrics) — Salem, Virginia
The organization is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to support respiratory care across CICU, SICU, MICU, and step-down units. Responsibilities include performing bedside respiratory therapies, obtaining ABGs, and providing Bipap and ventilator management as needed to support patient care. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details
- Schedule: Nights; 12-hour shifts; minimum 36 hours per week; 3 shifts per week with a 7:00 PM–7:00 AM rotating weekend.
- Required Qualifications: Registered Respiratory Therapist; Basic Life Support (BLS); ability to perform basic floor therapies, nebulizer treatment, CPT, nocturnal pulse oximetry, and obtain ABGs; experience with Bipap management.
- Preferred Qualifications: ICU experience; vent and Bipap management experience.
- Additional Information: Assignments may include CICU, SICU, MICU, and step-down units; weekend and on-call coverage is included as part of the schedule. Typical procedures include HHN, CPT, Bipap and ventilator management, and extubation.
