Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RT) specializing in Pediatric (PEDS) care in Lone Tree, Colorado. This position involves night shifts from 6 PM to 6 AM with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day and must have relevant certification and experience as specified.
Job Details:
- Location: Lone Tree, Colorado
- Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid respiratory therapy license, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), and a minimum of 6 months current acute care hospital respiratory therapy experience
- Additional Information: Flexible scheduling. The RT will play a key role in NICU and ICU settings, focusing on therapy and ventilator liberation. Autonomy is required during shift duties.
- Preferred Qualifications: Prior Meditech electronic medical record experience, PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit) experience, NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) experience.
- Responsibilities: Administer treatments, ventilator setup, assist with intubation, ABG (arterial blood gases) sampling, patient and staff education, and perform various respiratory therapies in ED, PEDS, ICU, NICU, and MED SURG units.
- Unit Environment: A 240-bed facility with approximately 15 respiratory therapy staff members, operating with a minimum staffing of three RTs per shift, caring for a diverse patient population including ICU and NICU units. Equipment includes PB 840 ventilators.
