Job Summary:
The Respiratory Therapy position in Lafayette, Indiana, is based in an intensive care unit (ICU) setting within a healthcare facility. This role involves providing respirator support and advanced respiratory care to critically ill patients. The ideal candidate must bring their license on the first day of onboarding. Job Details:
- Location: Lafayette, Indiana
- Shift Time: Days, 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM
- Hours per Week: 36 hours minimum
- Number of Positions: 1-2
- Certifications & Qualifications: Must have Registered Respiratory Therapist credentials, ACLS, PALS, BLS, NRP, Level 3-unit NICU skills.
- Experience: Basic experience in acute care settings such as Med Surg, Emergency Room, and Intensive Care Unit; proficiency with Bipaps, ventilators, and Heated High Flow units; experience assisting with intubations and bedside bronchoscopy; proficient in electronic medical record charting (EPIC).
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts, Monday through Sunday every other weekend.
- Additional Information: Candidates should be independent, self-motivated, and willing to work in a Level 3 NICU. Good time management skills are essential due to the heavy workload at times. Experience managing high-acuity patients with various respiratory support devices is preferred.
