Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) position located in Hilo, Hawaii. This role involves providing comprehensive respiratory care for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients. Candidates are required to bring their Hawaii license on the first day of the assignment. The position features night shifts with three 12-hour shifts weekly, totaling 36 hours, starting on August 17, 2026.
Job Details:
- Location: Hilo, Hawaii
- Schedule: Night Shift (6:30 PM to 7:00 AM), three 12-hour shifts weekly (36 hours)
- Required Qualifications: California Respiratory Therapy License, BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications are required. Minimum 2 years of experience caring for adult, pediatric, and neonatal populations. Must be able to care for all three populations.
- Preferred Qualifications: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
- Additional Information: Candidates must arrive the Thursday before the start date to attend the employee health appointment on Friday. The position requires the ability to provide continuous airway management, ventilator and non-invasive ventilator management and support, physician consulting, CPR, and all aspects of respiratory care. Equipment utilized includes computerized charting, Pyxis medication management, and various ventilators such as PB 980, PB 840, V60, and Para Pac Transport Vent.

- Vaccinations: Proof of flu vaccination or facility-approved medical/religious exemption is required prior to contract start.
