Job Summary: Respiratory Therapist (RT PEDS) — Hilo, Hawaii
The organization is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to support pediatric-focused respiratory care across adult, pediatric, and neonatal populations. The role includes continuous airway management, ventilator and non-invasive ventilator management, CPR, and comprehensive respiratory care with physician consultation. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Day Shift (6:30 AM–7:00 PM); three twelve-hour shifts weekly (36 hours). No guarantee of hours.
- Required Qualifications: State of Hawaii respiratory therapist license (current Hawaii license preferred); Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT); Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS); Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) preferred; flu vaccination requirements with proof of vaccination or a facility-approved application for medical or religious exception prior to contract start date; ability to care for patients of adult, pediatric, and neonatal populations; minimum 2 years of experience. Candidates must arrive the Thursday before the start date for an employee health appointment on Friday.
- Additional Information: Continuous airway management, including ventilator and non-invasive ventilator management and support; physician consulting; all aspects of respiratory care. Unit practices include computerized charting and Pyxis medication management.
