Job Summary:
A Travel Respiratory Therapist (RT) position is available in Fremont, Nebraska. Candidates will work in an inpatient setting covering MedSurg, Emergency Room, and Intensive Care Unit areas. The role involves providing respiratory care, managing vents, and performing related patient treatments. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

  • Required Qualifications: Certified as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), with BLS Certification, ACLS Certification, PALS Certification, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), and at least 1 year of experience in a similar size facility and setting.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Cerner EMR system.
  • Additional Information: Availability to work during the Labor Day Holiday.
  • Responsibilities: Drawing arterial blood gases, nebulization, breathing treatments, patient education for inhalers, vent management, assisting with intubations, performing EKGs during off-hours, and responding to inpatient respiratory needs.
  • Float: Not required.
  • Dress Code: Wine/burgundy/maroon scrubs (Cherokee brand preferred).
  • Equipment: Draeger vents, V60 Bipap, Opticflow heated high flow, Respironics.
  • Inpatient Care Setting: MedSurg, ER, ICU.
  • Supervisor/Lead: No designated lead; reports to one of two clinical coordinators.
  • Schedule: 12-hour shifts, with flexibility for block scheduling.
  • Weekend Work: Every 3rd weekend, with options for additional shifts.
  • Call: No call required, but may be asked to cover extra shifts.
  • Cancellation Policy: Not applicable.
  • Charting System: Cerner.
  • License to Submit: Yes.
