Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in Burlington, Vermont. This inpatient position requires qualified candidates to provide adult and pediatric general unit care, including adult ICU, neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), and pediatric ICU (PICU). The role involves shift work during nights and demands flexibility, with candidates required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

  • Location: Burlington, VT
  • Shift: Nights, 12 hours, minimum 36 hours per week
  • Certifications and Education: Must be Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT); AHA Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); all certifications must be current
  • Experience: At least 1 year of relevant inpatient experience, including adult ICU, NICU, PICU; prior travel experience preferred; teaching hospital experience required
  • EMR Experience: Epic (experience within the past 2 years required), Cerner experience is a plus
  • Licensing: RRT license required; Texas licensure held by the candidate is acceptable
  • Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, Monday through Sunday; no block schedules, bi-weekly orientations on Mondays
  • Travel Requirement: No; travel experience is a plus but not necessary
  • Additional Information: All work history details (bed count, facility type, EMR, etc.) must be complete for submission; all employment gaps over 90 days need explanation; reliable transportation or a rental vehicle is strongly recommended as public transportation is not accessible in the area
  • Note: The position involves adult and pediatric care. NICU and PICU experience is welcome but not required for all candidates, with considerations for candidates capable of working across adult, pediatrics, and general units.
