- Additional Information: Acts as an active member of the patient care team to provide clinical patient care assessment, initiation, modification and discontinuance of therapeutic respiratory care procedures to critically ill patients. Analyzes and evaluates clinical patient data to determine the appropriate therapy or interventions and makes recommendations on patient care plans to the medical staff. Initiates and/or assists with appropriate respiratory tests and procedures, responds to respiratory emergencies, transports mechanically ventilated patients, prepares care plans, schedules treatments, and modifies treatment care plans based on clinical response. Performs bedside rounds and administers Respiratory Care modalities accordingly.
