Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) position available in Baltimore, Maryland. Candidates are expected to have experience caring for pediatric, neonatal, and adult patients in critical care settings, particularly in neonatal intensive care units (NICU). The role involves providing high-level respiratory therapy interventions across a mixed patient population. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of the assignment.

Job Details:

  • Location: Baltimore, Maryland
  • Schedule: 3x12-Hour shifts (19:00 – 07:30) with a minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Valid Maryland or Compact State Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license; active ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certifications; 2 years of relevant experience in respiratory therapy, with strong pediatric, neonatal, and adult critical care skills. Experience with all age groups and familiarity with advanced respiratory equipment such as jet ventilators, oscillators, and nitric oxide therapy are required.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with EMR systems (Epic preferred); prior work in NICU, PICU, emergency departments, and trauma settings.
  • Additional Information: This role involves working in a NICU that accepts higher acuity neonates, including infants as young as 22 weeks gestation. Candidates must be comfortable with a wide range of respiratory procedures and equipment, including high-frequency jet ventilation, ECMO management, and neonatal transports. Floating within scope to other units and sister facilities is required.
