Job Summary:
The location is in Fort Pierce, Florida. This Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) position requires a Respiratory Therapy Technologist (RRT) with at least two years of current acute care hospital experience. Candidates must bring their license on the first day of work. The role involves providing treatment, care, and evaluation for pediatric patients with respiratory insufficiencies, including asthma, pneumonia, and emphysema, within a high-acuity environment. This position is a contractor replacement for a night shift starting on 07/27/2026.
Job Details:
- Position: Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- Shift Schedule: Nights, 12 hours shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), 2 years of current acute care hospital RRT experience, licensed Respiratory Therapy Technologist. Experience with Meditech electronic medical records is preferred.
- Preferred Qualifications: Trauma experience; previous Meditech experience is highly favored.
- Additional Information: Staff includes a diverse team of 60 members including directors, managers, supervisors, and RRTs. Typical procedures include use of Servo I ventilators, nebulizers, Hamilton ventilators, Astral CPAP & BIPAP machines, ABGs, and CPT. The unit emphasizes a patient care focus within a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

- Float: Float rotation may be required.
