Job Summary:
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Respiratory Therapist in Fredericksburg, Virginia. This position involves providing specialized respiratory care to neonatal patients within the NICU, with a focus on ventilator management and advanced respiratory procedures. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details:
- Location: Fredericksburg, Virginia
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) — required. Additional certifications can be obtained after hire.
- Education/Experience: No minimum experience required; candidates should possess a valid respiratory therapist (RT) license and relevant NICU experience.
- Schedule: Nights, 3-12 hour shifts per week including every other weekend, minimum 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification, BLS, ACLS, NRP certifications, two years of general RT experience, NICU experience is required, proficiency with CPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula, Bubble CPAP, and Hamilton C1 ventilator.
- Additional Information: Familiarity with Meditech electronic medical records system; all black scrubs required; Hamilton C1, V60, Hamilton MR1 equipment used.
