Telemetry Registered Nurse (Tele) — Phoenix, Arizona
The organization is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Neuro Telemetry unit. The role focuses on patient care in an acute Neuro Tele environment, including titration of specific intravenous drips and interpretation of electrocardiogram (EKG) monitoring. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM (12-hour nights); minimum 36 hours per week; 4 total weekend shifts per 4 weeks; holidays worked based on unit coverage
- Required Qualifications: Registered Nurse licensure; Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); 2 years of experience; telemetry/Neuro experience preferred
- Preferred Qualifications: Neuro experience highly preferred
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Additional Information: Unit assignment includes Neuro Tele (5NNB and 7NNB) with a typical ratio of 1:4; bedside report is required; central monitoring is utilized; must be able to titrate amiodarone (Amio), diltiazem (Cardizem), and insulin drips; must be able to maintain sterile field during required skills and interpret EKG; weekend requirement includes 4 weekend shifts in 8 weeks; floating may be required to other MS/Tele floors and possibly to Westgate or AZ Laveen; Neuro Tele unit orientation includes 2 days on the floor; common patient types include trached patients, cerebrovascular accident (CVA), traumatic brain injury (TBI), spinal surgery, encephalopathy, end-stage renal disease (ESRD), and psychiatric needs; worked into permanent holiday rotation
