Job Summary:
Telemetry Medical Surgical Float (Rock Island, Illinois) – This staffing opportunity involves providing specialized patient care within a telemetry medical surgical unit. The traveler will contribute clinical knowledge and skills to manage patient needs, with the potential to float within the same discipline across local campuses. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Rotating shift; 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: State license for Illinois required; Iowa license on offer required. Certifications include Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association. Must have a valid driver’s license, work history or resume, skills checklist completed within 1 year of submission, license verification, and a supervisory reference at time of submission. Experience: 0 years minimum, with preference for candidates with at least 2 years of previous experience, especially in cardiac and open-heart care. Cardiac and open-heart experience is preferred.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Cardiac and open-heart experience, at least one prior travel contract completed.
  • Special Skills & Clinical Experience: Experience with chest tubes, fem stops, trachs, Central Lines, drains, and CBI (Centrally Directed Infusion), along with various medications such as Amiodarone, Cardizem, Nitro, Insulin, Heparin, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Isuprel, Milrinone, and Argatroban, including some titration.
  • Additional Information: Traveler will be required to work 1-2 of the 3 designated holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day).
