Job Summary
Telemetry position providing care for adult patients in an acute-care setting during night shifts. The role supports patients with cardiac conditions, including congestive heart failure, dialysis-related needs, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, sepsis, and end-of-life care. Responsibilities include telemetry monitoring, cardiac drip management, pre- and post-cardiac catheterization care, and assistance with bedside procedures.
Job Details
- Required Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of experience; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications; experience interpreting and managing dysrhythmias, managing and titrating cardiac drips, telemetry monitoring, initiating and maintaining intravenous access, and caring for patients before and after cardiac catheterization.
- Preferred Qualifications: Previous travel experience and prior charge experience.
- Schedule: Night shifts from 6:45 p.m. to 7:15 a.m., 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week; every other weekend required.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: Patient assignments generally include a 1:5–6 ratio. The role includes care for adult telemetry patients and may involve assisting with line insertions and thoracentesis, managing cardiac drips without titration, and providing care for patients with congestive heart failure, dialysis needs, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, sepsis, and hospice or end-of-life needs. The position requires flexibility to float within the appropriate service line and clinical competencies.
