Step Down Unit RN – Medical-Surgical Telemetry – Multiple Locations
This position involves providing specialized care on a step down, telemetry, or medical-surgical acute care unit. The role requires flexibility to work within a facility’s greatest staffing needs, with potential placement on either a progressive care unit or a med-surg/telemetry unit, based on the candidate’s skills and experience. The position is suitable for experienced Registered Nurses with skills in step down care and telemetry monitoring.
Job Details
- Shift: Days, 12 hours shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: License/Certificate Verification, advanced skills in step down (PCU) and med-surg/telemetry, RN license, 2 years PCU or med-surg/telemetry acute care experience, EPIC electronic medical record experience
- Certifications: RN license (verification required), Step Down (PCU) specialty exam and skills completed
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts on days, minimum 36 hours per week
- Additional Information: The traveler must be able to float onsite within skill set or to sites within 40 miles if needed; experience with EPIC EMR is required. The candidate should be prepared to work in a fast-paced acute care setting with a focus on telemetry and step down patient care.
