Job Summary
Registered Nurse, Step Down Unit. This position provides care for stepdown patients in a float pool setting, with assignments across medical-surgical, stepdown, Intensive Care Unit (ICU), surgical, and oncology areas. The role requires collaboration across departments and the ability to support patient ratios of 1:5–6.
Job Details
- Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Two years of stepdown experience; prior travel nursing experience; Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
- Preferred Qualifications: Prior charge experience preferred, or willingness to cross-train into a charge role on a medical-surgical unit; Intensive Care Unit (ICU) experience preferred.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information:
- Floating is required between medical-surgical, stepdown/Intensive Care Unit (ICU), surgical, and oncology units.
- Patients assigned to the role are expected to be primarily stepdown-level rather than heavily intensive care.
- Assignment dates are 11/29/2026 through 02/27/2027.
