Job Summary
Registered Nurse – Step Down Unit. The Professional Staff Nurse provides and coordinates patient-centered nursing care for patients and their families while applying independent judgment, clinical expertise, communication, and collaboration. The role supports quality improvement, evidence-based practice, patient education, care transitions, and effective teamwork across the continuum of care.
Job Details
- Required Qualifications: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Pennsylvania Act 31, Pennsylvania Act 33, Pennsylvania Act 34, and Pennsylvania Act 73 compliance; two years of nursing experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Schedule: Rotating shifts consisting of 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Additional Information: Responsibilities include managing and providing nursing care for a group of patients, developing individualized plans of care, applying the nursing process, documenting patient care, identifying safety and quality improvement opportunities, educating patients and families, supporting care transitions, and collaborating with physicians and other healthcare providers.
