Job Summary:
This healthcare organization in St. Charles, Missouri, is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in intensive care unit (ICU) care. The RN will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, supervising nursing staff, and ensuring adherence to safety and clinical standards. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of employment.

  • Required Qualifications:
    • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required prior to first shift
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required prior to first shift (CIRH ONLY)
    • Minimum two (2) years bedside clinical experience
    • ICU experience/appropriate skills for Long-Term Acute Care Hospital (LTACH)
    • Previous experience with the organization or its operations
  • Preferred Qualifications: None specified.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required.
  • Additional Information:
    • Performs comprehensive nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission.
    • Develops individualized care plans and collaborates with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
    • Documents assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and timely.
    • Participates in patient rehabilitation programs and initiates discharge planning and patient teaching from the day of admission.
    • Communicates effectively regarding patient status changes to ensure continuity of care and safety.
    • Provides direction and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel, delegating appropriately.
    • Maintains safety standards and contributes to a positive work environment through team participation and communication with management.
    • Assumes charge responsibilities after orientation and pursues ongoing professional development.
    • Performs other related duties as requested.
