A travel nurse is needed for the Progressive Care Unit (PCU), supporting cardiac stepdown patients as part of the interdisciplinary team. The role focuses on delivering and managing patient care using clinical knowledge and skills. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details
- Schedule: Nights, 12 shift hours, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications:
- Active Illinois nursing license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) (American Heart Association (AHA))
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) (American Heart Association (AHA))
- Cardiac Stepdown and/or Stepdown / Progressive Care experience: 24 months of current Stepdown / Progressive Care experience
- Work history/resume/employment history that reflects 24 months of current Stepdown / Progressive Care experience
- Skills checklist specific to Stepdown / Progressive Care
- Professional reference/performance evaluation from within the last 24 months (from charge/supervisor/nurse manager/director/CNO/COO)
- Driver’s license
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional reference/performance evaluation from within 24 months of today’s date
- Additional Information:
- Weekend rotation: every other weekend
- Float within the same discipline across local campuses may be required
- Patient ratio expectations (as provided):
- Day shift: 1:4–5
- Night shift: 1:5–1:6 (assignments are intended to be made as safely as possible, considering cardiac experience level)
