Job Summary:
An RN (Registered Nurse) position in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) is available in Marquette, Michigan. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. This role involves providing specialized nursing care in a facility that features a Level 2 Intensive Care Unit with open heart programs, cath lab, neuro-surgery, trauma center, and CRRT programs. The position requires a minimum of 2 years of PCU experience and offers a night shift schedule.
Job Details:
- Location: Marquette, Michigan
- Shift: Nights (12 hours) with a minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certification, 2 years of PCU experience, proficiency with Cerner electronic health record system
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in CVICU, Neuro ICU, organ donation, pediatric DKA
- Additional Information: Floating is required on a rotation with travel nurses
- Unit Description: Level 2 ICU with open heart program, cath lab, neuro-surgery, trauma center, and CRRT program. Care includes post-open heart, heart failure, respiratory failure, trauma, surgical ICU, post-stroke, post-craniotomy, and septic shock cases
- Equipment used: Baxter IV pumps, Omnicell, Prisma Flex CRRT, Impella, IABP, EVDs, bolt monitoring, vents, Bipap, high flow oxygen
