Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) with a specialty in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) located in Macon, Georgia. This position involves providing advanced nursing care for cardiothoracic, vascular, and other medical-surgical patients in a Level 1 Trauma Hospital. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of employment. The role requires clinical expertise, effective patient management, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
Job Details:
- Location: Macon, Georgia
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts (7A-7P or 7P-7A) with a cycle every 6 weeks; weekend rotation of 5-6 shifts out of 12; no call required.
- Required Qualifications: Valid BLS (Basic Life Support); BCR (Basic Cardiac Rhythm); ACLS; NIHSS; 0 years of experience; licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Preferred Qualifications: National certification - Medical-Surgical certification (preferred).
- Additional Information: Orientation includes 1 day of educational modules plus 2 departmental days; parking is free; unit culture is busy but teamwork-oriented; scrub color Navy; rotation involves working one major holiday shift.
