Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse position available in Louisville, Kentucky. Candidates will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to moderate to high acuity cardiac, pulmonary, renal, and medical patients. The role requires candidates to bring their license on the first day and work nights.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights, 12 hours shift, minimum 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Bachelors or Diploma in Nursing, Kentucky nursing license, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification, no minimum years of experience specified, located in the United States
- Responsibilities: Providing care for patients with diagnoses including congestive heart failure, atrial fibrillation, NSTEMI, COPD exacerbations, pneumonia, renal failure, metabolic abnormalities, and more; interpreting cardiac rhythms; managing drips such as Heparin, Lasix, and Amiodarone; wound care including pressure injuries; high-flow nasal cannula and bipap support; surgical wound care and negative pressure dressings
- Preferred Qualifications: Charge nurse experience and willingness to assume charge duties
- Float: Float rotation may be required to similar units
- Additional Information: Weekend rotation every other week; no on-call requirements; holiday rotation included; RTO approval through the manager; Scrub color: Galaxy Blue; free badge access parking lot; will undergo orientation on a separate floor
