Job Summary:
This is a Registered Nurse (RN) position in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) located in Kings Mountain, North Carolina. The role involves providing specialized nursing care to a diverse patient population with diagnoses such as stroke, pneumonia, cellulitis, and more. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The position offers an opportunity to work within a close-knit team on a combination unit of Progressive Care and Medical-Surgical patients, with potential to float within scope of practice to nearby facilities.
Job Details:
- Location: Kings Mountain, North Carolina
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts (7a-7p, 7p-7a), every 6 weeks cycle
- Required Qualifications: RN license, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certifications, 18 months of PCU (Progressive Care Unit) experience, and at least 0 years of relevant experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with tracheostomies, cardiac GTT (Gastrointestinal Tube) experience, cardiac rhythm interpretation, chest tubes, blood products management, wound care/dressing changes, and central line management.
- Schedule: Nights, 36 hours per week, with weekend rotation every other week and possibility of low census call.
- Float: Will float within scope of practice at the facility and to all facilities within Region 3 (Cleveland, Kings Mountain, Lincoln, Central Division). Floating mid-shift will be paid for travel time between facilities.
- Orientation: 2 days departmental orientation at the facility.
- Additional Information: The role includes working with EPIC electronic medical records and various clinical equipment. Travelers will work 75% of holidays.
- Region: Region 3 - Cleveland, Kings Mountain, Lincoln, Central Division (CMC Main, Mercy, LCH).
