Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse (RN) located in Greenville, North Carolina. This position involves providing specialized care to patients with neurological conditions, including stroke management, post-neuro surgical recovery, and seizure management. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment.
Job Details:

- Shift Time: Nights (6 weekend shifts within a 6-week schedule)
- Schedule: 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid North Carolina or Compact State license; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification; Neuro experience; Ability to read and interpret electrocardiogram strips; Must read and interpret electrocardiogram strips; Experience with EPIC electronic health record system; Minimum 0 years of relevant experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in stroke, neuro-surgical management, seizure management, and neuro-spine care is highly desirable.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: The reference population will include patients with Acute Stroke (ischemic, hemorrhagic, subarachnoid hemorrhage), Post-Neuro surgical management (such as craniotomy, ventriculostomy, complex neuro-spine procedures), Seizure disorders, Multiple Sclerosis, Guillain-Barre syndrome, and related neurological conditions. Skills utilized include NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), lumbar puncture assistance, arterial lines, central lines, tracheotomy care, lumbar drains, IV starts, peripheral lab draws, arterial blood draws, and management of various intravenous drips, including cardiac, insulin, and heparin, with cardiac monitoring.
