Job Summary
Registered Nurse, Progressive Care Unit. This position provides comprehensive nursing care through patient assessment, care planning, implementation, evaluation, and documentation. The role coordinates care with patients, families, physicians, and the healthcare team while supporting safe, effective, and patient-centered outcomes.
Job Details
- Required Qualifications: Current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice, temporary or interim Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice, or compact Registered Nurse (RN) licensure; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; minimum of one year of experience in an acute care hospital setting, including experience within the past 12 months as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the specialty area.
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree; professional certification; additional related education or experience.
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Additional Information: Responsibilities include assessing physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and discharge planning needs; developing and revising individualized care plans; providing direct patient care; coordinating, delegating, and supervising care activities; evaluating patient and family responses to care and teaching; maintaining timely and accurate documentation; participating in quality improvement, education, orientation, mentoring, and shared leadership activities; and supporting weekend and holiday rotation.
