Job Summary
Registered Nurse, Progressive Care Unit. This position provides comprehensive nursing care through patient assessment, care planning, implementation, evaluation, and documentation. The role supports safe, evidence-based care while coordinating with patients, families, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
Job Details
- Schedule: Day shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Assignment dates are 12/14/2026 through 03/13/2027.
- Required Qualifications: Current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice, a temporary or interim Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice, or compact Registered Nurse (RN) licensure; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; maintenance of clinical performance competencies through annual validations; minimum of one year of experience in an acute care hospital setting for travel acute care positions, including experience within the past 12 months as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the specialty area.
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree, professional certification, and additional related education or experience.
- Additional Information: Responsibilities include assessing physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and discharge planning needs; developing and revising individualized plans of care; providing direct patient care; coordinating, delegating, and supervising care activities; evaluating patient and family responses to care and teaching; maintaining timely and accurate documentation; supporting patient education, staff development, mentoring, and quality improvement activities; and collaborating with healthcare providers and support services. Weekend and holiday rotation may be required. The role may involve standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, transferring patients, and using standard precautions in a direct patient care environment.
