Job Summary
Progressive Care Unit: The Registered Nurse (RN) assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and documents patient care in accordance with professional nursing standards and organizational policies. The role coordinates care with patients, families, physicians, and members of the healthcare team while supporting safe, effective, and evidence-based outcomes.
Job Details
- Required Qualifications: Current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice, a temporary or interim Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice, or compact Registered Nurse (RN) licensure; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; ability to maintain clinical performance competencies appropriate to the practice area; at least one year of experience in an acute care hospital setting, including experience in the specialty area within the past 12 months.
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree; professional certification; additional related education or experience.
- Schedule: Day shift, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Additional Information: Responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessment, individualized care planning, direct patient care, coordination and delegation of care, patient and family education, documentation, evaluation of outcomes, and collaboration with the multidisciplinary healthcare team. Weekend and holiday rotation is required. The role may involve frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, stretching, and assisting patients with ambulation or transfers.
