Job Summary
Registered Nurse, Progressive Care Unit. This position provides comprehensive nursing care for patients through assessment, care planning, implementation, evaluation, documentation, education, and coordination with the healthcare team. The role supports safe, evidence-based care and may provide direction and supervision to licensed and non-licensed personnel.
Job Details
- Required Qualifications: Current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice, temporary or interim Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice, or compact Registered Nurse (RN) licensure; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; at least one year of experience in an acute care hospital setting for travel acute care positions, including work in an acute care setting within the past 12 months as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the specialty area.
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree, professional certification, and additional related education or experience.
- Schedule: Night shifts are scheduled for 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Assignment Dates: 11/30/2026 through 02/27/2027.
- Additional Information: Weekend and holiday rotation is required. Responsibilities include assessing patient needs, developing and revising individualized plans of care, providing direct patient care, coordinating and supervising healthcare team activities, evaluating patient responses to treatment and education, maintaining timely and accurate documentation, and participating in quality improvement, professional development, education, orientation, precepting, and mentoring activities. The role requires frequent standing, walking, bending, squatting, reaching, and stretching, along with the ability to respond promptly to patient care needs and assist with patient mobility using proper body mechanics.
