Job Summary:
Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Nurse in Santa Fe, New Mexico. This position involves providing high-quality postoperative care to patients recovering from anesthesia, ensuring their safety and stability during their critical initial recovery period. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of employment.
Job Details:
- Location: Santa Fe, NM
- Schedule: Dayshift, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM; 4 days per week, 10 hours per day (minimum 40 hours per week)
- Required Qualifications: Current New Mexico Registered Nurse (RN) license or current Compact state license; BLS Certification via the American Heart Association (AHA); ACLS Certification via the American Heart Association (AHA); Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred; 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Pain Procedures, Pre Operative (Pre Op), Operating Room (OR), and Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU).
- Additional Information: Weekend and on-call requirements are part of the role; floating to different hospital units may be required.
- Responsibilities: Provide routine and complex postoperative care, assess patient needs, administer medications and treatments, monitor for side effects, and educate patients and their families.
- Experience: 0 years minimum, but 1 year in the relevant specialty is preferred.
