Job Summary:
A Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) is sought to join a busy operating room team located in Salem, Massachusetts. This position involves providing perioperative recovery care in a Level III Trauma OR within a complex community setting. Candidates are required to bring their Massachusetts RN license on the first day.
Job Details:
- Location: Salem, Massachusetts
- Shift: Rotating shifts with options including 8-hour, 12-hour, and 10-hour shifts, mostly evenings (e.g., 9:00 am - 7:30 pm, 10:00 am - 8:30 pm, 2:00 pm - 12:30 am, 8:00 am - 6:30 pm). Minimum hours per week: 36 hours.
- Required Qualifications: Massachusetts RN license, BLS certification, BSN preferred, CNOR preferred, scrub experience preferred, two years working in one location, and two years' experience as a traveler.
- Preferred Qualifications: BSN and CNOR certification.
- Additional Information: Experience with Mako and DaVinci robotic systems is preferred. The unit has approximately 30-40 patients per day. EMR system used: EPIC. No floating required.
- Schedule: 4x10-hour shifts, 2x10-hour shifts, or 2x8-hour shifts. Mostly evenings (9:00 am - 7:30 pm, 10:00 am - 8:30 pm, 2:00 pm - 12:30 am, and 8:00 am - 6:30 pm). Rotation to evening shifts occurs 2-3 times per 4-week schedule, with 1-2 weekend shifts and holiday call responsibilities. Weekend shifts include on-call hours.
