Job Summary
RN – Post Anesthesia Care Unit: Provides nursing care across outpatient procedural services, including preoperative, postoperative, post-anesthesia, endoscopy, and infusion areas. The role includes peri-operative education and care, recognition of post-anesthesia and post-operative complications, and participation in a shared on-call rotation.
Job Details
- Required Qualifications: Registered Nurse with at least two years of experience in SSSU, Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), preoperative, or postoperative nursing.
- Schedule: Day shift, 10-hour shifts, 40 hours per week, with a variable schedule and shared on-call rotation for the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU).
- Additional Information: Nursing responsibilities include floating throughout the outpatient services area, including day surgery, endoscopy, the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), and the pre-operative clinic. Duties also include nursing assessment, peri-operative education and care, recognition of post-anesthesia and post-operative complications, and providing conscious sedation support for special procedures.
