Job Summary:
Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) – for a specialized neonatal and pediatric critical care unit located at a hospital with a focus on open heart surgery. This role involves providing high-level nursing care to critically ill children in a Level Three-CICU setting, supporting a 13-week assignment with rotating day and night shifts.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 12-hour rotating shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) — Will consider Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) with 6 years of experience; Colorado Registered Nurse (RN) license or multi-state compact license; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS); 2-3 years of staff RN experience in dedicated cardiovascular pediatric intensive care unit (CVPICU) or pediatric CICU (open heart); prior travel experience.
- Required Certifications: PALS Heartcode, ACLS Heartcode (no Heartcode complete), BLS.
- Preferred Qualifications: Certified Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCR N) and Ventricular Assist Device (VAD) experience preferred (please note in work history). Teaching hospital experience is strongly preferred.
- Additional Information: The facility reserves the right to float or reassign personnel within thirty-five (35) miles of the primary assignment location, as needed. No Request for Time Off approved within the first two weeks. Exemptions for medical or religious influenza vaccination are permitted.
