Job Summary:
The operating room and surgery center nursing team in Saint Helena, California, is seeking a registered nurse to deliver specialized clinical care in a fast-paced outpatient surgery and endoscopy environment. Candidates are responsible for providing high-quality patient care across pre-operative and phase II post-anesthesia care unit workflows, including moderate sedation and rapid patient turnover. The successful candidate must bring their nursing license on the first day of employment.
Job Details:
- Location: Saint Helena, CA
- Schedule: 10-hour shifts, Day Shift, 4 days per week, Monday through Friday, with rotating days off; start times between 5:30 am and 11:00 am, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred; California Registered Nurse (RN) license required; BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from approved vendors required; 2 years of experience in outpatient surgery and perioperative care preferred; experience with moderate sedation, rapid patient turnover, and open-heart or total joint patients is a plus
- Essential Functions: Collects and analyzes patient health data, develops and implements care plans, collaborates with healthcare teams, delegates duties appropriately, and performs discharge planning and patient education.
- Additional Information: Must have endoscopy experience, be comfortable with pre-op and PACU phase II workflows, and operate effectively in a high-volume outpatient surgery setting.
