Job Summary:
An Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse (RN) in Sterling, Illinois, is sought to join a small rural hospital team. The RN will provide patient care in a facility with seven operating rooms, including a C-section suite and an endovascular suite. The successful candidate must bring their Illinois nursing license on the first day. This position involves working 12-hour daytime shifts, with call responsibilities. Candidates must have prior experience in operating room and endoscopy procedures.
Job Details:
- Location: Sterling, Illinois
- Certification, Education, Degree, Location, and Years of Experience: Active Illinois RN license; minimum 2 years of operating room experience
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts from 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., with a minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: RN with operating room and endoscopy experience; active Illinois nursing license; 2 years of clinical experience in relevant fields
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with advanced endoscopy procedures
- Float: Float rotation may be required
- Additional Information: The RN will be circulating OR cases including orthopedic, robotic (Da Vinci), vascular, urology, and gynecological surgeries. Call responsibilities include 1-2 days per week and every 4th or 5th weekend (Friday to Monday). Flexibility for staying after shift to complete cases is needed. The facility performs about 1-2 C-sections weekly, approximately 6 endovascular cases, and 20-25 cataracts per week.
