Job Summary:
A Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Operating Room (OR) located in Springfield, Missouri. This position involves providing direct patient care in a high-acuity surgical environment, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient needs. Candidates are required to bring their RN license on the first day. The role requires working nights, with a schedule of 4 shifts per week, totaling 36 hours weekly. The selected candidate will support surgical teams in a Level 1 or 2 Trauma Center and must have demonstrated clinical expertise, including scrub and OR circulator experience.

Job Details:

  • Location: Springfield, Missouri
  • Shift: Nights, 4x10 shifts, minimum 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Current RN License (eligible for licensure in Missouri or licensed in Missouri), BLS certification from American Heart Association (AHA), 2 years of experience in Level 1 or 2 Trauma settings, scrub and OR circulator experience, demonstrated skills in human relations and communication, and clinical expertise in perioperative care
  • Preferred Qualifications: Level 1 trauma experience with multiple years of relevant expertise, teaching hospital experience
  • Additional Information: Night shift orientation on day shift and must be available for the entire week; utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care; maintains patient confidentiality; adheres to Mercy standards, mission, and values; performs within the scope of nursing practice as per Missouri Nurse Practice Act; supports patient rights and maintains confidentiality; works in a fast-paced surgical environment requiring professionalism and accountability.
  • Schedule: Nights, 4 shifts/week, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours/week
