Job Summary
Registered Nurse, Operating Room Open Heart. This position supports cardiovascular, orthopedic, and neurosurgical procedures in an acute care setting serving adult patients. The role requires operating room experience, proficiency with Epic documentation, on-call availability, and collaboration across the cardiovascular operating room and main operating room as needed.
Job Details
- Required Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of experience; experience in the cardiovascular operating room, general operating room, hybrid operating room, and trauma hospital settings; orthopedic and neurosurgery experience; required Epic experience; required travel experience; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) certification.
- Preferred Qualifications: Trauma Level II experience.
- Schedule: Day shifts, typically four 10-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM; five 8-hour shifts may be considered; minimum 40 hours per week; every other weekend required.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: On-call coverage is required 2–3 days per week. The position supports adult patients and may involve cardiovascular, orthopedic, neurosurgical, trauma, and general operating room procedures. Flu vaccination is required, with medical or religious exemptions accepted. Requested time off must be submitted with the profile.
